Trina's Raggedy of the Month!
Raggie
As this is the first installtion of "Raggedy of the Month", it seems only appropriate that I begin with the doll that started it all. This my very first Raggedy Ann Doll. She was a gift from my Aunt Lani in 1972 when I was two years old. She is 15" tall, and a typical Knickerbocker model of that time. She was the first toy that I ever got attached to, and I brought her with me everywhere. Eventually, she began to become worn and tattered. For fear that she might be loved into nothingness, my mother stored her away for years. When I was about ten years old, I found my first doll, who I didn't remember at all, in one of my mother's nightstands. (I felt like Marcella, finding her Raggedy Ann for the first time in her Grandmother's attic!) By this time, I was old enough to realize how fragile she was, and was able to take proper care of her. I brought her back to my room where she became acquainted with all of her new friends.
